Fremont County is nestled in the southwest corner of Iowa with easy transportation access to Omaha, Nebraska and Kansas City, Missouri. A ride along Interstate 29 not only brings quick transportation to business destinations but a sense of peace at the beauty in our corner of the state.


Interstate 29, US Highways 59 and 34,  Iowa Highway 2, the Missouri River and a main rail line makes transporting goods, both raw and manufactured, cost-effective. When looking for the Midwest work ethic, look no farther than Fremont County, Iowa. Our workforce draws from a three state area (Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska). Currently there are three sites where business is expanding: The intersection of I-29 and Hwy 2 where two hotels, three truck stops and several retail establishments are presently located. Excellent warehouse sites are also available;  I-29 and Hwy 2 (4-lane going west); North/South mainline rail (Burlington Northern Santa Fe).

Hamburg Iowa Industrial Region: Major businesses are ConAgra Popcorn Division, Manildra Milling and Bartlett Grain. Rail and easy I-29 access.

East Fremont County: Major businesses are Eaton Transmission; Pella Custom Windows; Green Plains Renewable Energy; Extra Touch; and REM Manufacturing. Rail line and infrastructure.
